The Mombasa Hospital is the largest private Hospital in the Coast Province.  It is owned and administered by the Mombasa Hospital Association, a nonprofit making organisation.  The members of the Association are mainly residents of the Kenya Coast and the Board of Management consists entirely of honorary members from the medical profession, commercial firms in Mombasa, charitable organisations and others. The Hospital is located in one of the most picturesque sites on Mombasa Island with views over the channel towards the north mainland and out to sea.  It is the oldest hospital on the Kenya Coast and consists of 124 beds split as : Mamujee Private Ward 30 beds Bibby Private Ward 12 beds Maternity Ward 9 beds Children's Ward 16 beds General Wards : Male Ward 31 beds Female Ward  19 beds Intensive Care Units 7 beds
